Parent Engagement

Sacred Heart College has a long-standing tradition of parent engagement, with parents and caregivers playing a vital role in the College community.

From volunteering and mentoring to social events and fundraising, there are many ways to get involved and build valuable connections that enrich both the College and our students’ experiences.

How to Get Involved

Become a Year Group Social Representative

Help bring parents/caregivers together by organising social events for your child’s year group. The P&F provides funding each semester to assist with catering costs. For more information, please connect with our P&F Parent Social Events Coordinator, Mrs Renee Bellamy at 8715svc_PF.Events@cewa.edu.au

Join the P&F

The P&F meets eight times a year, both in person and online, to foster community spirit and support College initiatives. Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 6:00pm in The Hywood Room (Staff Room). Dates and the livestream link are advertised in the College Calendar and Newsletter.

Sign up for the Meal Train

Help support families in need by providing home-cooked meals during difficult times (e.g. while a parent is sick in hospital). To join, email Mrs Liza Baskovich at liza.baskovich@cewa.edu.au

Volunteer as a Bus Driver

If you hold an 'F' Class Licence and are willing to assist with transporting students, please contact Mrs Lexi Rickards at lexi.rickards@cewa.edu.au

Donate to the Homeless

Donations of groceries, meat and fruit are always welcome to support local homeless drop-in centres, including The Shopfront, Tom Fisher House and Passages. To contribute, contact Mrs Lexi Rickards at lexi.rickards@cewa.edu.au

Join our Walking Group

Meet new people and stay active by joining the Sacred Heart Walking Group, which walks along the coast after morning drop-off every Friday. The meeting point is the southern carpark of the Sorrento Surf Life Saving Club. For more information, please contact Mrs Liza Baskovich at liza.baskovich@cewa.edu.au

Cook on the BBQ

Help out at various school events by cooking sausages on the BBQ for the students.

Assist at College Events

The College hosts a variety of events throughout the events, including:

  • P&F Quiz Night
  • Mother’s Day Breakfast
  • Father’s Day Breakfast
