Heart & Soul Café

The College’s on-site Heart & Soul Cafe offers nutritional and well-balanced food and drink options to students for breakfast, recess or lunch.

It also provides a space for students to enjoy their breaks while looking over the beautiful Indian Ocean.

Aims

Support classroom teaching on nutrition and health

Provide foods that stimulate student learning in the classroom and not 'lethargic learners'

Encourage development of good choices and good eating habits

Provide special dietary needs for students (gluten free, allergies etc)

Maintain a high standard of food safety and hygiene when preparing and storing food

Provide food with minimal packaging to reduce environmental impact and school yard rubbish

Perform as a fully functioning, healthy and student friendly café that operates at no cost to the College whilst providing nutritional food to students and staff at a minimal cost

Payment Options

The Heart & Soul Café is cashless and supports payments by EFTPOS or the student’s SmartRider card, loaded with funds via Flexischools. The ability to order lunch online is available by Flexischools, as well as the opportunity for students to walk-in.
