Overview
Normandy House is named in honour of Euphrasie Barbier, founder of the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions (RNDM Sisters), who was born in Caen, Normandy in France. Euphrasie Barbier’s RNDM Sisters went on to establish Sacred Heart College and are still integral to today’s operations.
Crest Meaning
The crest contains five elements:
- RNDM Cross – symbol of the RNDM Sisters
- Palm leaves – taken from the College crest to represent victory and to establish a common connection between the two
- Fleur-de-lis – floral badge of France
- Square-rigger Ship – symbolising Euphrasie Barbier’s many voyages to foreign countries where she embarked on her missionary work
- Symbol of community – representing friendship and cooperation, encompassing the teachings of Euphrasie Barbier and the RNDM Sisters
House Totems

Normandy’s House Totems, Raven and Quandong, teach wisdom and generosity. Normandy can care for their totem by being thoughful and generous in all that they do.
